- Consults with parents to clarify objectives for ages 14 to young adults
- Reviews medical and psychiatric reports, educational data, other relevant documentation
- Links parents to professional resources
- Prepares families for future transitioning
- Represents you at school meetings
- Observes your child at home to present findings to professionals
- Written or face to face advocacy and support with service providers, teachers and other family members
Teri is a Commissioner on the Montgomery County Commission for People with disabilities, Member of the DDA Southern Md Community Practice Workgroup, Certified from Weinfeld Education Group Special Needs Advocacy Institute, & Long time Special Olympics Volunteer.
